What is the Sustainable Construction Programme?

The sustainable construction programme is a student initiative at Oxford Brookes University which aims to raise awareness of sustainable construction as well as providing practical experience in sustainable building. Workshops involve hands-on tuition from sustainable construction experts for a small group of students and these are followed by an evening lecture to a wider audience.

Thank you Dusty

Thank you to Dusty Gedge of his extemely interesting seminar on Green roofs and liveable cities.

Dusty has been instrumental in promoting green roofs in the UK. Dusty was instrumental in the formation of Livingroofs.org, the UK's first independent green roof organization. Livingroofs.org is the number one website on green roofs in the UK

Livingroofs.org has also been active in working with other cities in the UK such as Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham. Livingroofs has sponsorship from all the main green roofing companies in the UK.

Dusty has designed a number of seminal green roofs in the UK including:

Grays Inn Road, London
Komodo Dragon House, London Zoo
